  • Global Citizenship Education (GCE)

    • Through the content presented in this unit, we’d like to bring you closer to the global context. We also want to introduce the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as the Global Citizenship Education (GCE) and their relevance to achieve a fairer and more sustainable world. Finally, we´ll present Service-Learning methodology as a tool for transformative education to foster active global citizenship.

  • Service-Learning with a Global Citizenship approach

    • The contents of this unit aim to deepen your understanding of the essential elements of Service-Learning (social need, community service, learning, and networking). We also want you to bring you some examples of Service-Learning projects with a global citizenship approach. Finally, we will focus on the educational process. We will show you the different phases of working with students in order to make the Service-Learning educational experience, truly transformative.

  • Guidelines for carrying out a Service-Learning project with a Global Citizenship approach

    • In this unit, we will introduce ‘European common values’ and their connection with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We will also provide you with five basic guidelines for creating SL proposals with a global citizenship approach. Finally, we will share two templates; one of them can help you outline an SL project idea and the other includes all the elements to guide you in designing a complete SL proposal.
